Find a Safe Haven for All Moms at Saving Grace Maternity Home

Pregnancy is a joyous time, but when you lack a support system, it can be challenging and scary to navigate everything on your own. Saving Grace Maternity House is a safe place when you need guidance and support throughout your journey to becoming a mother. The founders are Skip and Cindy Sorum, who are passionate about investing in the lives of at-risk pregnant young women. Saving Grace Maternity Home is dedicated to the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of single expectant mothers and their babies.

About Saving Grace Maternity Home

The Saving Grace Maternity Home provides residential care for women experiencing homelessness during an unplanned or crisis pregnancy. They also support mothers with children under the age of one year old. The requirements for these services are that the women must be single and between the ages of 18 to 25. Saving Grace welcomes women of all cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.

Services

Up to five women can be assisted and housed there full-time. Saving Grace Maternity Home provides a range of services for women in need. Each woman will receive birthing and parenting classes, life skill classes, and assistance with medical and prenatal doctor appointments. The kind and knowledgeable staff are there also to help the women, if they choose, to navigate the adoption process and to inform them of all options available. They also assist with enrollment in the local school district and obtaining a GED.

Specialty

They also can help and support with finding employment as well as finding a more permanent housing option. The home is covered daily with caring staff who are there to help in any way they can. The house includes a house manager and three resident assistants. An entire team of females will provide you with the care and support you need. It is important to note that Saving Grace Maternity Home does not charge a single penny to any women staying there and using the services offered. In order to do this, they rely heavily on sponsors and donors. If your business would like to sponsor this incredible cause, reach out to the team through the website. Additionally, you can send tax deductible donations directly to their office.

I featured this incredible service because I love nothing more than helping others. It is why I am a photographer in the first place. Because of this, I have loaded many more blogs with helpful tips and stores for Portland mothers and families. So check out the blog links below! But before you go, I would love to chat about your dream maternity and family photo session! So I can help capture those special memories for your family.
