Services

There are several different services at Rosehip Midwifery, including complete midwifery care. They provide comprehensive care throughout your childbearing years, including preconception counseling, care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, childbirth education, well-women and annual check-ups, lactation support services, and placenta encapsulation. Rosehip Midwifery believes that every delivery is unique and every baby has their own story. So they want to help you create personalized services that fit your and your family’s needs. During your prenatal appointments, they will be about an hour long. The midwives will take your vitals, measure your baby, order any labs, talk about nutrition, and answer any questions you may have.

Rosehip Midwifery’s primary role during labor and birth is to monitor the well-being of the mom and the baby. You can have an at-home birth wherever you’d like, and they will even set up a birthing tub if you wish to have a water birth. They do this by monitoring your vitals, listening to the baby’s heart tones, and keeping you fed and hydrated. They can play an active role during delivery or be quiet support. Whatever you really want and need, they can make it happen. They also stay after the birth to monitor the baby and finish all the documents and paperwork. Additionally, they help you start breastfeeding and complete the baby’s exam.

Postpartum care includes six weeks after your baby is born. It all takes place in the home, and you will continue receiving ongoing support for yourself and the baby. Rosehip Midwifery is here to support you every step of the way!
