About The Portland Doula Collective
Serving the greater Portland or metro area, the Portland Doula Collective has many services with caring and knowledgeable staff that are here to help you throughout your journey to becoming a parent. These doulas have more than twelve years of experience and the expertise and tools to help your birth and delivery be calm and enjoyable. There are two doulas at Portland Doula Collective, Prudence and Scarlett. Together, they are trained as birthing doulas, childbirth educators, and massage therapists. Whatever you may need, Prudence and Scarlett are excited to meet you and provide exceptional services for you and your family that meet your personalized needs.
Services
You can start by scheduling a free initial consultation virtually. You can chat with the doulas to determine if they are the right fit for you and your family. If you choose Portland Doula Collective, then you will receive prenatal support and meetings. They will always help you answer questions that you may have. But they also help you find any resources that you may need throughout your pregnancy. They will meet with you several times to create a birth plan. Through these meetings, they hope to gain information about the birth process and your birth preferences. Once you begin labor and delivery, they will physically and emotionally support you. They will stay with you throughout the entire birth up until about two hours post-birth for continued care and initial breastfeeding and care.
At-Home Services
Once you go home, you will receive visits from your doulas, where they will assist you with breastfeeding, newborn care, sleep training, answer any and all of your questions, and provide you with community resources. The team also provides virtual evidence-based childbirth classes. In these at-home classes you will learn how to understand the healthcare system. In addition, you gain an empowering start to parenthood. This class occurs for a series of six sessions and is open to you and your partner.
